A Texas Roots Story: From San Marcos to College Station

Born and raised in San Marcos, Texas, I grew up in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, where strong values and a close-knit community shaped my early years. After high school, I spent a year and a half at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State University), where I was a Founding Father of the BYX chapter on campus.

My journey took a pivotal turn when I transferred to Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, after meeting my future wife, Laurie. At Texas A&M, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. While on campus, I volunteered as a roadie for Breakaway Ministries, working with Greg Matte and renowned Christian artists like Ross King, Chris Tomlin, and Shane & Shane. These early experiences helped shape my leadership skills and passion for serving others.

Early Career: Leadership in Sports and Community Engagement

Following graduation and an internship, I accepted a position with the Lake Houston Family YMCA as the Director of Outreach and Sports. In this role, I:

✔️ Managed and organized hundreds of volunteers
✔️ Oversaw programs impacting thousands of children across Greater Northeast Houston
✔️ Developed leadership and organizational skills that later translated into my real estate career

After two years of serving my community, I took a bold step into real estate—obtaining my REALTOR® license and joining Keller Williams Realty.

Building a Thriving Real Estate Career

During my six years in sales, I built a highly successful real estate practice. My passion for mentoring and leadership led to opportunities at some of Houston’s largest real estate brokerages, where I took on key roles in:

✔️ Recruitment and retention strategies
✔️ Leadership development for real estate professionals

One of my proudest achievements was helping a Keller Williams office become the first to cross $1 billion in annual sales while doubling the size of the office over a two-and-a-half-year period.

Following this success, I joined a national expansion team within Keller Williams, where I served as the Regional Director for South Texas.

Launching Red Hawk Coaching: A Vision for Growth and Success

In 2017, following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, I saw an opportunity to make a greater impact. This led to the launch of Red Hawk Coaching, a company dedicated to helping real estate agents and small business owners achieve success in both business and life. Since 2010, I have coached hundreds of entrepreneurs, guiding them in scaling their businesses, increasing profitability, and achieving personal fulfillment.

Red Hawk Property Team: A Growing Legacy in Real Estate

Building on my experiences in sales, leadership, coaching, and training, I launched the Red Hawk Property Team powered by JLA Realty in 2021. Today, our team has grown to 17 members and counting, covering the Greater Houston area and stretching down to the Texas Coastal Bend.

Life in Kingwood: Family, Faith, and Adventure

Today, I reside in Kingwood, Texas, a suburb of Houston, Texas, with my wife Laurie, our son Logan, a sophomore at Kingwood High School, and our daughter Emma, a freshman at Mississippi State University. We also share our home with our two dogs—Stella Gumbo, a Catahoula Leopard, and Bailey, a miniature dachshund.

When I’m not working, I love to travel, play my guitar, and hike the trails that span throughout the ‘Livable Forest’ of Kingwood, Texas. You might also find me behind the soundboard for the Praise and Worship band in The Vine at Kingwood Methodist Church on Sundays—a role that allows me to serve my church community while combining my love for music and technology.
